Weddings on cruises

Most couples pick Guided Planning. It is enough structure and coordination without paying for full onboard staffing.

Cruise fare and third-party vendors are billed separately. If routes or timings change due to weather or bay regulations, we adapt the plan and coordinate the updates with your vendors.

Before you compare tiers

Five things move the price. Our fee is not one of them.

The planning level you pick is a small part of a cruise event budget. These are the things that actually change the number, so you can size the whole thing before asking anyone for a quote.

What actually changes the number

  • Headcount against the ship, not in isolation. Forty-four guests fills Aspira's 22 cabins. The same forty-four on Azura's 30 leaves cabins unsold, and someone pays for them — usually you, in the charter rate.
  • 2D1N or 3D2N. The second night is not a small increment. It adds a full day of meals, crew and bar, and it is the format where day-two service needs writing into the contract.
  • Which vessel. Aspira includes the Hanoi to Tuan Chau round trip in the fare. On Azura that is quoted separately, so compare the two totals rather than the two headline rates.
  • Dates. Peak weekends price differently and sell out first. A midweek sailing in shoulder season is the single cheapest change most groups can make.
  • How much vendor work you want. Photo, video, decor, MUA and AV are billed by those vendors at their own rates. Our fee covers sourcing, comparing and running them, not their invoices.

Not sure which ship your headcount suits? Compare the six ships before you pick a planning level — the vessel decision changes more of the budget than we do.

Choosing a level

Which one is actually right for you.

The tables above list what is inside each tier. This is the short version of who each one is for, which is usually the faster way to decide.

Essentials

You already have a planner, or you are the kind of organiser who wants structure rather than hands. You get the cruise-specific things that are hard to know from outside — boarding windows, meal timings, what a deck can actually hold — and you run the rest.

Guided planning

Most people land here. We do the planning and the vendor coordination, you approve the decisions. Right when you want the event handled but still want a say in how it looks, and when nobody on your side can take calls during the working day.

Full planning

Worth it above roughly fifty guests, or whenever several vendors have to be cued in sequence on the day. Also the honest answer when the alternative is a family member or your HR lead spending the event on their feet instead of in it.

Still unsure

Send the dates, the headcount and what you are trying to achieve. We reply within 24 to 48 hours with a recommended level and a written scope, and we will say so plainly if a cheaper tier would do the same job.

Which ship

Every package runs on one of six ships.

The planning levels above are the same whichever vessel you charter. What changes is the room you are planning in — a proven five-star, the newest ship on the bay, a small classic one on the quiet route, or the onsen ship arriving in October 2026.

Aspira Cruise · 5-star

Four years of sailings and far more public reviews than any other ship we work with. Two 55m² Presidential Suites open onto their own sun terrace, and Hanoi transfers are already in the price. The ship to charter when the day has to go right rather than turn heads.

Explore Aspira

Azura Cruise · 6-star

The newest ship on Lan Ha Bay and the one its operator calls a six-star masterpiece. An infinity pool rather than a jacuzzi, a sauna alongside the spa, and Imperial Suites with ocean-view bathtubs. Eight more cabins, for guest lists past fifty.

Explore Azura

Athena Royal Cruise · 5-star

The larger of our two ships on Bai Tu Long: quieter water, a fraction of the day boats, and caves most visitors never reach. Twenty-two cabins for 44 adults, a classic fit-out of dark wood and patterned tile, and a jacuzzi on the sundeck. It also runs the standard Ha Long route when you want the famous sights.

Explore Athena Royal

Athena Luxury Cruise · 5-star

The classic Ha Long circuit — Sung Sot, Ti Top and Luon Cave — where its sister Athena Royal takes the quieter Bai Tu Long. The 3D2N leaves the ship entirely on day two for a day boat, Me Cung Cave and the Tung Sau pearl farm. Twenty-one cabins for 42 adults, a 50-seat restaurant with a projector built in, and a sundeck the operator rates for events of fifty. It trades as plain “Athena Cruise” as well.

Signature Halong Cruise · 5-star

The smallest ship on this list by some distance — twelve cabins for 24 adults, which means a party of twenty takes the entire vessel rather than sharing it. A jacuzzi bathtub in every cabin, not just the suites, and the quiet Bai Tu Long route. Sailing since 2013, on a traditional junk hull.

Explore Signature Halong

Athena Premium Cruise · 6-star 1 October 2026

The first overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay to operate a Japanese onsen, and an 800m² sundeck that takes a 400-guest cocktail reception — the largest event space of any ship we work with. Forty-one cabins for 158 guests, a four-season infinity pool and a route through Ha Long Bay proper. Enters service 1 October 2026.
